To think people should get bus fare or bus pass while waiting

This gets on my nerves.

10 minutes waiting for the bus is plenty of time to get bus fare together. But every time I use the bus service there is always that one person who is checking pockets, purse and bag for change or pass.

The problem is, I do this, then put it my coin somewhere safe and accessible, then when the bus comes, panic, searching through all my pockets etc looking for where exactly I have put it.

I do that too.

I sort the change, put it in my pocket, then, well, the pockets are deep and there are many and I'm easily distracted

Yanbu. I swear people do it on purpose. Theres always one and 9 times out of 10 they are always first on with tons of people waiting behind. Its not rocket science. You have nothing else to do while waiting.

MaxPepsi · 07/02/2013 14:05

But I have no idea how much a bus costs so wouldn't have a clue how much I would need in change.

Yabu. I think that people should do whatever the hell they like, or not, while they're waiting for the bus.

Ponderingonaquandry · 07/02/2013 14:08

Now I have a picture of you doing a swan or goddess pose literally stood on the wii

IvorWindybottom · 07/02/2013 14:08

When i used to catch the bus everyday going to work this used to piss me off something shocking especially when the bus was late and some idiot gets on complains to the driver then spends ages getting the money out of her purse (the majority of these idiots are women)

All you have to do is have your correct fair in one seperate pocket or if you are not sure of the fare then perhaps have 3 one pound coins and a pounds worth of 10ps
easy

Fakebook · 07/02/2013 14:09

I always put my change in a special compartment in my purse and then when it comes to getting on, a 10p or 5p sometimes gets lost or stuck somewhere. Then my hands start shaking because everyone is watching and waiting and so naturally it takes 10x longer to find them.

McNewPants2013 · 07/02/2013 14:12

Perhaps I am just inpatient but after being on my feet over 8 and half hours I want to get on the bus and hopefully sit down

I don't get a lot of buses so never have a clue about the fares.
Except they are ridiculously expensive in Inverness.Grin
In Edinburgh you have to have the correct change, how the fuck are you meant to know?
So I am of the meandering ilk, who will doubtless piss you off if you're behind me.
Sorry about that, though Wink
