Only square ones will do, round ones dont taste as good.

YABU. Makes no difference to the taste as far as I can tell. X

Stinkyminkymoo · 07/02/2013 08:13

Pyramids.

That is all.

ShhBoom · 07/02/2013 08:14

YANBU, only square or pyramid ones in this house.

saycheeeeeese · 07/02/2013 08:17

I've never tried pyramids shame on me

Round ones taste weaker, I know its all in my head, I associate them with tetley, which is awful

You need PG Tips. Builders tea extraordinaire.

Pickles101 · 07/02/2013 08:36

YANBU, square only. ONLY.

Icelollycraving · 07/02/2013 08:40

Yanbu. Round ones are weak. I however use 2 teabags for every cup, square ( bags & possibly me).

PuppyMonkey · 07/02/2013 08:43

The only rule about teabags is only stir, never squeeze. Then it doesn't matter what shape they are.

saycheeeeeese · 07/02/2013 09:21

I remember buying asda or tescos finest and they came in little silk pyramids, I kept them good and they ended up out of date.

So...what is everyone's favourite brew?

BinarySolo · 07/02/2013 09:23

I alway think round are bad for the environment because of all the waste tea bag paper. Probably a really stupid idea tho.

LovesCheeese · 07/02/2013 09:26

I'm worried you might be my step-MIL!! Yes yabu, especially if you are at someone's house and complain about there lack of pyramid tea bags!!

holmessweetholmes · 07/02/2013 09:27

Loose tea is better.

saycheeeeeese · 07/02/2013 10:03

Haha lovescheese I'd be the youngest MIL out there!! Grin

Sokmonsta · 07/02/2013 10:04

I think yabu. It's all to do with the brewing. But my mother would say pyramid bags all the way - and can tell the difference.

evertonmint · 07/02/2013 11:23

I'm fussy with tea and the tea I drink comes in square bags so I never get round ones. This is a shame as they fit so neatly into the bottom of a mug which appeals to my OCD tendencies Smile

saycheeeeeese · 07/02/2013 11:40

everton Grin

Maybe I'm slightly OCD about tea I'm obsessed

Don't even get me started on teabags with strings attached, they give me the shivers! !

I used to love PG tips but something has changed with them. I don't get a lovely golden brown cuppa anymore when I use them. I've moved over to Tetley and they're brilliant. So round tea bags here. YABU.

Icelollycraving · 07/02/2013 12:13

I like Yorkshire teabags. Tetley are too weak & even bought builders, they were crap.

Somethingtothinkabout · 07/02/2013 12:30

Nambarrie for me.

Also LOVE the tea from Pret (pyramid, but on a string), but I don't think you can buy them in shops Sad

WankbadgersBreakfast · 07/02/2013 12:32

YABU.
They fit nicely in the bottom on my mug, as another poster stated.

Also, square ones always gets bits stuck in the corner. I can't cope with that.

seeker · 07/02/2013 12:34

Pyramids are the devil's work.

hometown38 · 07/02/2013 12:47

Has to be Yorkshire teabags (hard water ones as well !)

seeker · 07/02/2013 12:51

!

In a plain white mug. Left in for exactly 3 minutes( on the timer)

Binkyridesagain · 07/02/2013 12:57

Yorkshire tea here as well, DH is a heathen when it comes to tea, he likes all those poncy teas like jasmine or chrysanthemum. Tea has to be strong and brown!

RCOR · 07/02/2013 13:19

I'm with Binary....I think circle tea bags are wasteful environmentally. Have always thought that. And aren't pyramid tea bags just a square bag with one end secured at 90 degree to other end???
