I love... No.... LOVE Road Wars!! I'm at the point where I think I have watched them all...

And I get super excited when I see Aylesbury on there...

I'm just a bit disappointed that I've never seen one of the policemen in real life!

wanders back off to watch road wars on sky 1

Neighbourhoodwatchbitch · 07/02/2013 01:33

I haven't seen my road on there! I'm jealous!! I have seen the main road that I drive along on there! Does that count?

KnitFastDieWarm · 07/02/2013 13:44

My name is knitfast and I am a road wars fan. Night Cops, cop squad, anything involving emergency services and/or border agencies.

Phew, that feels good!

Road Wars / Night Cops / Brit Cops etc are a staple of the insomniac! I love them to fill up the hours when you just can't sleep. Unless there's a worra is a cunt thread on MN Grin

KnitFastDieWarm · 07/02/2013 16:06

Oh Simon! Lovely Simon.....:)

He can search me any day!:-p

Name7 · 07/02/2013 17:51

It has to be Charlie! Pat and Carl were the best pair though!

SouthernComforts · 07/02/2013 17:54

Yanbu. The best one was when the scroat got caught and said "whey Pat and Carl I've seen you on road wars" and it wasn't Pat or Carl.

NormanTheForeman · 07/02/2013 17:57

Ds loves all these programmes. He will watch anything featuring the emergency services! Road Wars, Traffic Cops, Real Rescues, Emergency Bilers, Seaside Rescue, Mayday! Mayday!, Brit Cops etc.......

tinygreendragon · 07/02/2013 18:03

OP: No but you are being unreasonable to post about it in this forum. Hmm

I though that was what the Telly Addicts forum was for ? Confused

FrancesHouseman · 07/02/2013 18:05

YANBU!

My friend's Dad is being filmed for a new series of Traffic Cops. I CANNOT WAIT!

ComposHat · 07/02/2013 19:29

I love the narrator's aliterative descriptions of the errant motorists on it: 'spliffed up spanners', 'boozed up bozos'. etc.

Also no one accelarates in Road Wars, they 'boot it.'

I also quite like saying decamp decamp decamp when I get out of the car.

MurderOfGoths · 07/02/2013 19:32

We saw my aunt in the background of one of the road wars type programmes once Grin

somewherewest · 07/02/2013 19:36

I loved Road Wars/Night Cops when I was pregnant and knackered every evening. The Road Wars narrator is fab - we started parodying him on long, boring car journeys.

alcibiades · 07/02/2013 20:27

Oh, yes. I love the police programmes and the rescue ones. And the Road Wars narrator. He's quite moderate in the names he calls the numpties, but we all know what he means. I should think the police quite like his comments, seeing as they can't even use the word "numpty" when they pull the offenders over.

I can't use the excuse of either being pregnant nor being knackered every evening, so I'll use the excuse that I don't get out much and live in a very quiet area. So when I'm watching, I'm doing research Wink. And also, in order not to be GB-centric, I've also watched Bondi Rescue, 'cos that's geography and marine biology as well.

PersonalClown · 07/02/2013 20:29

I am a HUGE Road Wars fans.
It's known as Slough Wars in our house.

We play In Law bingo as they live in different parts of Slough and we try to spot their houses!!

KatoPotato · 07/02/2013 20:31

I adore it! 'What a donut!'

Neighbourhoodwatchbitch · 07/02/2013 20:31

I would really like Simon and Charlie to search me! I'm a bit devestated that I've never seen them in a police car!!

At least I know I'm not being unreasonable!! No one else I know watches it!

thixotropic · 07/02/2013 20:32

My name is thixotropic and I love road wars.

blondefriend · 07/02/2013 21:00

I've seen Pat and Carl in real life. And my house (well old house). And my friend was in an episode driving by an "incident". We're really living it large here. ;)

blondefriend · 07/02/2013 21:01

I meant I saw my old house on Road Wars not just saw it in real life.
