away from the sodding school gate?

There is a massive playground in front of you, why why WHY do you feel the need to enter the playground, walk two steps, and then just stand there blocking the entrance for all the people that come in after you?

WHY?

Yes.

The ones that annoy me walk two steps outside the gate and stand there blocking the pavement chatting, while people are trying to get out and leave.

They are stupid.

They are the same people who get to the top of escalators, take 1 step then stop to look around creating a scrum of people trying not to get stuck. You can also find them standing in shop doorways when it rains.

It boils my piss on a daily basis. I just don't get it! Confused

We have this. Slightly different set up as it's a long, narrow path into the playground, but same situation with twerps stopping on the end of the path, rather than taking 10 more steps so they are not blocking the entrance for everyone else. I mean, why would you ? Confused

And some of them have huge dogs with them. Angry

DonkeysDontRideBicycles · 04/02/2013 11:15

Because they are more important than you, see? A good shove would clear them.

CloudsAndTrees · 04/02/2013 11:17

Oh, thats where I'm going wrong Donkeys. I was stupidly under the mistaken belief that anyone picking up a child from school had a right to get into the playground to wait for them.

Silly me.

Well, now you know. How about taking a klaxon along with you, "Get out of the way you dozy feckers" should do it.

HormonalHousewife · 04/02/2013 12:16

Elbows. Use them.

mummymeister · 04/02/2013 12:22

my ds is in year 6 so i wait down the hill for him and he comes in and out of the gate himself. such a relief not to have to fight through hordes of people who walk up to the gate take one step in and stop. i think the school should introduce penned waiting areas for each year to make them get out the way. and dont even get me started on the selfish twats who insist on driving into and out of the gate at exactly the same time as school starts/finishes ignoring the polite notice not to do it
