To think it's disgusting that DH doesn't spit..

I am lying here listening to DH brush his teeth and have been reminded of this disgusting habit. He doesn't spit all the foam out but sort of makes a sucking-up noise and swallows it.
I'm thinking it's justifiable grounds for divorce....

I thought you were supposed spit so that you're not ingesting too much flouride. I wonder what that's doing to his insides? Confused

Aside from that the "sucking-up noise" sounds disgusting! LTB! Grin

EMS23 · 31/01/2013 06:49

Urgh, that made me feel sick! YANBU!

IcouldstillbeJoseph · 31/01/2013 06:53

It's beyond foul. All that stuff you brush off your teeth and then you swallow it.
I have moaned about it before but I get the same response of "well, I'm over 40 now and survived this long.."
Bleurgh

chrome100 · 31/01/2013 07:03

I've always swallowed my whole life, it's just habit. It's not exactly poison

NeverBeenToMe · 31/01/2013 07:06

Never spits at all during the whole process??

I used to spit and rinse my brush two or three times til my dentist told me that was wrong, but I still spit at the end now!

PessaryPam · 31/01/2013 07:09

Does he have brown flecked teeth from the fluoride he must be ODing on?

DragonMamma · 31/01/2013 07:10

I feel a bit sick.

YANBU. Ltb.

celebmum · 31/01/2013 07:12

my dentist told me not to rinse at night, leave the toothpaste in the mouth to do its job.. Confused

TeWiSavesTheDay · 31/01/2013 07:47

You're not supposed to rinse but you can still spit all the extra suds out!

Dawndonna · 31/01/2013 08:31

It is poison. All that fluoride can build up and cause some very serious problems later in life.

andubelievedthat · 31/01/2013 22:12

yes. truthfully, would be classed as unreasonable behaviour

cerealqueen · 31/01/2013 22:17

YANBU. Bacteria in the mouth is linked with heart problems, so he putting his health in danger. Seriously, he needs to have a chat with his dentist.
