To hate kettlebells?

I just cant stand their dumpy smug weighty spoutlessness. Nor the way they suck you in with the suggestion of a nice cup of tea and a bit of cake when in fact their truth lies in pain and sweat and failure.
The exercise classes arent going too well.

Sorry but I laughed to myself, agree entirely with the 'cosy kettle' image and the reality is anything but.

I love them myself though; I think the trick is to not use ones that are too heavy to start, 4kg max, start with 2kg maybe and google the correct form. It shouldn't hurt. I'd much rather do it at home than in a class though.

They come in such pretty colours too... Grin

Urgh I feel your pain. I tripped over one the other day as well which has compounded my hatred of them.
Unfortunately my personal trainer loves them and makes me use them whilst standing in front of a full length mirror so I can check my posture Hmm When I'm using them my back looks incredibly broad and flat and masculine and the way I sort of thrust my hips forward makes me look like I'm having really comical sex.
But then they are infinitely preferable to TRX, a hideous system of strange straps...

I really like them....am I odd?
I have a 7k one and feel like Miss Trunchball swinging it around.

Everyone keeps a wide berth.
