To think that journalist whose promoting the 5:2 fast diet is really smug?

She's called Mimi Spencer and I really really like her columns but at the moment she is EVERYWHERE promoting the fasting diet. Good luck to her .. It's worked for her ..she's shrunk from a SIZE 12 to a size 8'...I'm not knocking her attempts to feel better about herself but a) she was hardly overweight to start with and b) calm down dear ! You are not the first person to find a weight loss method that works for you and you don't need to tell everyone about it hiding behind journalism ..you tried a diet , it worked fir you and you saw a book opportunity .. End of. It's not news, it's not ground breaking and nobody else cares that you are a size 8 now....off to eat some choc now!

I know what you mean.

I quite like her too.

Let no-one tell you otherwise, though, the fasting is bloody hard, certainly not a stroll in the park, so her smugness at a size 8 is extremely hard to take.

Just wanted to say she wrote a superb article about losing weight and the issues that surround it in The Times recently and recommend it to anyone who's struggled with their weights.

Any chance of a link Southeast?
