AIBU to confront rather than ignore slanderous gossip ????

Bit more info needed really before I could judge. My general instinct would be to challenge someone if I'd heard they were making slanderous comments about me.

Tough one.

Sometimes people are actually seeking the confrontation, in which case my instinct would be to rise above it and not give them the satisfaction.

On the other hand, sometimes people are doing it because they reckon you'll never have the guts to confront them about it, in which case, yes, do it!

Need more info....depends what the gossip is/who is saying it & their motivation for doing so.

Agree we need more info. This is how slebs must feel. Do I react to the bollocks in the paper or ignore it?

Presumably though their family and friends know the truth, and that would be important to me too.

But it depends what it is.
