Mike Tyson (convicted rapist) has been cast in a 'role of a man with a troubled childhood who's now on death row.'

AIBU to think is entirely wrong, vile, inappropriate etc?

Comments to justify the decision are based on 'it was 20 years ago, the conviction is questionable etc.

My issue is the programme deals specifically with rape/sexual assault cases and I think this might be the most insensitive thing to do.

YADNBU.

YANBU, extremely insensitive.

YANBU.

Love the show but won't be watching it anymore.

I think (but could be persuaded otherwise) that YABU.

Yes he is a convicted rapist (bollocks to anything 'questionable' about that) but he is now, legally, rehabilitated and allowed to earn his living by any legal means, including acting.

But it depends on the content. If he was playing a wrongly convicted rapist, now that would be extremely wrong.

He has never admitted it and he has never paid the compensation the court ordered. Until he does that. IMHO, he is not rehabilitated.
