To ring up about this job?

I went for my dream job on the 15th of January. They were holding interviews again on the 21st so I knew I wouldn't hear anything before then. They said I would hear on Wednesday or Thursday of this week. So far nothing. I know they have the right number as they confirmed it with me and said they would call. I am on tenderhooks here, should I call and ask? I would rather they said I hadn't got it than be left wondering!

Why not?

It would only matter if it was somehow harmful to your chances of getting it. And I certainly don't think one polite phone call enquiring AFTER the day by which they said they would get back to you will make them decide not to give you the job.

I'd ring or it'll be on your mind all weekend which is no fun, also good opportunity to ask for feedback if needed.

I just feel really nervous (pathetic) Perhaps I will give them til lunchtime then do it. There is no way I can wait over the weekend.

I had an interview yesterday, they were planning getting back to everyone yesterday (no second interviews as is small). Nothing yet. Am thinking no news is probably not good news, but am going to be brave and call them this afternoon - am glad you asked this question!
