I'm demented trying to find lovely white bedroom furniture for my 3yo who will be moving out of her combed.

I've been to John Lewis - outrageously expensive and I didn't think it was all that nice, M&S - no choice, IKEA - flimsy but ok, just not keen on having a daybed pain in the arse to make every day and have looked at a whole host online. GLTC, White Company etc. Stomp is outwith budget too & I don't want a mid-sleeper.

All I am looking for is a traditional white wooden bedstead, bedside table and chest of drawers. Budget including mattress is £500-850.

Help, anyone???

eBay. Our daughter has lovely white furniture from the shops on there. All will deliver.

East coast nursery furniture have a white toddler bed, and assorted white units that might do?

Their furniture is very solid and reliable.

This is the toddler bed; and I think Mothercare sell it.

Buy anything and paint it white?

Bingdweller · 24/01/2013 15:55

eBay & Argos, forgot about them.

Fortunately grandparents have kindly offered to pay for the damage. Hoping to find furniture to last til teens but don't want to present them with an extortionate bill....

Carpejugulum - thanks, but it needs to be a full single. East Coast stuff is really nice.

Marzipananimal - I am extraordinarily crap at altering anything Blush

Amazon is a really good place as well.
They do everything now!!

What about Next? My DD has a white single bed from there.

Aspace sale?
They keep bombarding me with emails that I delete, but they had white.

Not sure if you'd get all that in your budget but it's sale time and they have seconds. I bought our dc beds that basically had small dents in the wood on one side. 75% off and almost perfect, very solid.

We had a similar problem when doing the nursery for ds. Wanted white, ended up biting the bullet and going to john Lewis. Its all really solid though, so wardrobe and chest of drawers will last years, and the cot will pass down to my.niece eventually.

We bought gorgeous white furniture from Mothercare - really good quality and easy to put together.

Google the "One Range" of pine furniture, can be painted white as well as unpainted. Solid wooden furniture.
