To think if the bus is running then use it?!

A friend is keeping her dd off school today due to the weather. She can't get the car off the estate. There is a main road a minutes walk off her estate with a bus service which passes both her DDs school and her work.

Utter laziness.

What's it to you though?

GoldPlatedNineDoors · 21/01/2013 13:25

Its frustrating listening to her moan about how she can't get anything done as dd "isnt at school for the snow".

i agree the snow no reason to keep ur kids off school if u can get them there (sometimes walking isnt an option in this weather) but i can kinda see it from the pov if the weather gets worse and they take the buses off then what she going to do

tell her to stick a dvd on, and get yourself cuddled up on your sofa well out of her way :)

You're judging her and have decided she's utterly lazy. You don't sound like a very good friend tbh.

fuzzpig · 21/01/2013 13:30

That is a bit daft, unless they don't have the cash for the fares. Or maybe they aren't aware of the bus route? It always amazes me how little some drivers know about local buses, but then as a non-driver I suppose I am equally ignorant about car related matters!

diddl · 21/01/2013 13:33

Do you live with her?

If not, how are you having to listen to her moaning about it??

GoldPlatedNineDoors · 21/01/2013 13:34

By the wonder of.text.

I doubt the buses are running a reliable service if they are anything like around here.

By 'listening' do you mean reading her FB status updates? Wink

diddl · 21/01/2013 13:35

Just ignore, then!

frantic53 · 21/01/2013 13:38

I haven't sent DD in today. Whilst I probably could have got her to the bus this am it has been snowing all day and not due to stop until this evening and wasn't prepared to run the risk of her not being able to get back. Anyway, it's her business, not yours.
