We are in the process of selling one of DPs motorbikes on eBay. He has tried to sell it through one of the enthusiasts newspapers, without success, to with a bit of trepidation, we decided to give ebay a go...
Having sold many things on ebay, I was expecting to be bombarded with stupid questions and elaborate requests from buyers who want to buy the item at a knock down price before the auction is due to end, for spurious and often hilariously bizarre reasons.
It would seem that the bike is just attracting a whole new level of idiot!
I have put in the auction that I do not end auctions early. In 2 days we have received half a dozen requests for a Buy it Now price. I have published all the responses and questions on the listing and yet the BIN requests still keep on coming!
The listing includes details of all the usual stuff you might want to know when buying a vehcile (tax, MOT, conditon, mileage) and several people have also asked about these.
And today, someone has asked if we want to swap it for a car??

DP already has another motorbike and a van and I have a car as well, so more vehicles are one thing we do not need!
Why? Why do people do this?
Luckily there are a few bids and over 100 watchers, so hopefully it will sell to a sensible person who will come to pick the bike up and bring actual cash when the auction ends.
