Yeaa... Do it Smile

littlemisssunny · 16/01/2013 13:34

Doooo it! I luffs Bear though I have yet to find prawn cocktail flavour!

GrimmaTheNome · 16/01/2013 13:35

YANBU. Ideally you need to also serve Fruit Shoots. The Gregg's sausage rolls are optional.
Bear
I'd add some Biscuits as well.

DSM · 16/01/2013 13:36

Ooh what's the MN stance on Pom-bears? I've missed this.. I only know about fruit shoot Grin

Theicingontop · 16/01/2013 13:36

What's wrong with Pombears?! Food of kings.

ScarletLady02 · 16/01/2013 13:36

Only if they're cheese and onion ones....

They're Godliness in crisp form.

50ShadesOfGreggs · 16/01/2013 13:39

dsm you need to look in classics, there is a whole thread somewhere in there

SocietyClowns · 16/01/2013 13:53

littlemisssunny They are on offer in Waitrose at the moment, even the prawn cocktail ones. I managed to hide two packs of 6 at the bottom of the trolley and dd and I have only eaten two packs so far Grin. Not sure they will last to her birthday... Hmm

I hesitated briefly in front of the shelf with froot shoots Blush but realised I won't be able to cope with a crazed bunch of 3 year olds running riot Grin

they are handy for children who cant have wheat as they are gluten free so you are actually doing a good deed by buying them! Bear - I think they are delicious btw.

littlemisssunny · 16/01/2013 14:13

Thanks society but we're not posh enough for a waitrose round here :( and we used to get deliveries off ocado but found them expensive on stuff even though they price match!

SocietyClowns · 16/01/2013 14:18

littlemisssunny Know what you mean... Smile I treated myself to an hour in Waitrose today (about once every six months) to cheer myself up... Grin

Sorry being totally thick here, what are Pombears?

ilovepowerhoop · 16/01/2013 16:05

Baked snacks shaped like bears and found in the crisp aisle.

GrimmaTheNome · 16/01/2013 16:09

The only snack that has its own MN secret icon Bear

BabsAndTheRu · 16/01/2013 16:18

Thanks ilovepowerhoop, just getting in the car now to go get some.

GeneHuntsMistress · 16/01/2013 16:24

I did exactly this! It was 2 years ago, and I don't think it was very long after the particular thread, so was expecting many a raised eyebrow and smirk and one leg trouser rolled up etc .....

Not a single bite! Not even a funny handshake or anything! Don't think anyone wanted to admit IRL in case they might blow their MN cover in future?!

SocietyClowns · 16/01/2013 16:44

Gene I'm pretty sure that's what will happen with us. Smile But it gave me an excuse to buy pombears Grin

OP posts:
SCOTCHandWRY · 16/01/2013 16:58

They are gluten/wheat free and you can buy them anywhere, don't knock the Pombears!

DSM · 17/01/2013 00:18

Yeah, screw you Pom-near haters! I am coeliac and I 'share' them with DS

*disclaimer - I eat them
