I know it's just a trashy tv show.

But the man if he gets a date will chose the woman purely based on her looks.

They only ask one random question and it's right at the end which doesn't really give much away anything about yourself at all.

they choose each other on their looks.
people do, and yet somehow we have managed to survive this long.

amazing to think, really

I initially was attracted to DH for his looks

That we got on meant we developed a relationship

I think it's how it works Grin

Everybody judges on looks. Nobody has a partner whom they find categorically physically unattractive.

Haven't you ever watched the gossip on itv2? There's already been a couple of long term relationships - people who've moved in together. I think also an engagement & definitely a couple with a baby on the way. I was particularly thrilled about the baby one. For their date they were sent for a couple's massage. The poor girl was mortified about having to put her bikini on for a first date (she was slightly more curvy than the average girl on there). Her date thought she was stunning & they got on very well & clearly had a very happy ending! x

everyone chooses people on looks at some level, its our biology finding us the best genes we can get with what we've got

there was an experiment where they cut wedding pics in half and got people to match them up based on attractiveness and they got all the couples right

I saw another one where they put roller skaters in a rink with the numbers 1-10 on their backs, everyone had to proposition the highest number that'ld accept them, so 9+10 ended up holding hands, then 8+7.. and so on down to 1+2, and the sciencey telly bloke explained that thats exactly what happens in RL in terms of selecting the highest quality genes you can mate with. Looks and scent are the main ways to do that. Then your body releases chemicals that make you like their personality!

I remember a reading a story about how a girl saw her boyfriend on that show, he said "i just wanted to be on telly" apparently he hid her stuff when it came to them filming at their home.
