To play a game with a Russian 'lonely heart'

Email I received from a Russian girl looking for love. Pic attached to.... Lucky me. Blonde, thin with big boobs (yeah... right) few more pics after that.
Normally I delete straight away but was annoyed at how these twunts try and scam lonely people so thought 'why not.... Lets turn the tables.
Have had a few emails back and forth.... I know the sob stories/requests for money can take a bit of time to come through.
so ...... do I keep going to see what happens (it is highly entertaining reading the shower of shite in 'her' emails) Feel in inclined to take it as far as I can.

How on earth have you got on this mailing list!?

FutTheShuckUp · 10/01/2013 19:16

Why the hell would you respond to emails off a stranger?

Absoluteeightiesgirl · 10/01/2013 19:16

I have no idea. Possibly selling on of email addresses. My email addy comes up as a blokes name but can also be female... If you see what I mean. Ms Russia obviously thinks I am a fella.

Sounds as if you have too much time on your hands I spend all mine on MN. And what if she's genuine? That is, is gorgeous but broke & wants to escape to the UK & marry a nice Englishman?

cozietoesie · 10/01/2013 19:20

I would stop responding, close down that email address and start a new one, and check out your computer for nasties. Never respond to these email scams.

Absoluteeightiesgirl · 10/01/2013 19:20

I know she is not genuine. She started her first email talking about my profile on a dating site

More like she wants a visa!

cozietoesie · 10/01/2013 19:21

Oh - and if you find anything on the computer, change all your online passwords directly after cleaning it up.

You actually opened pictures. Sad

MyCarHasBrokenDownAgain · 10/01/2013 19:21

Have a look here 419 eater.com - lots of scam information in general, but they have a romance scam forum too! Smile

IAmNotAMindReader · 10/01/2013 19:21

Miranda that's a possibility but 99% unlikely, its a Russian version of the 419 scams from Nigeria.

Absoluteeightiesgirl · 10/01/2013 19:24

Pictures were on the email...not as a file attachment.....
Remember reading a really sad story about an older guy whose wife had died a couple of years before who was completely scammed by one these. Yep...he was gullible but I guess he had no idea these sort of scams existed.
