But if you delete the number, won't the messages still arrive, just without a name attached?

Could you not call them instead of deleting number?

I have to say, and I don't mean to, but I am one of those people that sometimes can't be arsed to reply right away takes a while to reply . if it annoys you, block them.

They are probably hoping you will delete them.... Hence the no replies😳
