.. Has really bad toothache but hasn't been to dentist! So is it his own fault? He's getting snappy now! He's had pain relief but really restless!

Does he have a fear of dentists?

I've got one of these. I did it in the end by guilt-tripping him. I went on and on about how can I help dd1 (scared of dentist) to face up to it when her own daddy won't.
Worked.

why won't he go? I bet he's scared, deep down.

if he won't go then what can you do? ignore the grumps I spose

Find some pictures of the pins they put in your gums when you have root canal treatment and tell him this is what will happen if it do not go

or alternatively a picture of somene with really bad dentures

Tell him it'll get infected and travel to his brain. That's what scared me into going when I had an abscess

He must be scared of getting root canal treatment or something, surely. When I get wisdom tooth pain I always wait as long as possible to see if it goes away by itself, because I'm scared the dentist will want to pull it out.

how can you be unreasonable about him having toothache? did you make his teeth sore?

and the man you live with is stubborn. men as a gender are not stubborn.

i must admit im not fond of the dentist but i go myselfand it costs me more as i end up having sedation for any treatment. anyway he has to live with the pain and i live with the sleepless nights while he tosses and turns.
