...girls, and some grown women, who scream, faint and cry at boy banders?

Hated it when young enough, hate it more now. It's totally ruining "Got To Dance" for me, bring back Andy Garcia.

You are disgracing your sex!

Ps. Women who squeal like gutted hogs at seeing friends can fuck the fuck off while I'm at it Angry

The only reason ever to scream is if you are being attacked.

Every other reason for doing it is crap. Hate it with a passion.

KingPhilsWench · 07/01/2013 19:58

I went to see dirty dancing on Saturday. Clearly half the women in there arnt getting any at home, every time the male lead walked on stage the screams wolf whistles, shouted comments (get your top off etc) where deafening, during quiet scenes you missed the first few lines. This happened every single time he walked on!

littlewhitebag · 07/01/2013 20:57

His name is Adam. Adam Garcia.

Softlysoftly · 07/01/2013 21:00

YY Softly, makes me cringe. How stupid they look, hate the squealers too, remind me of excited pigs.

TeaBrick · 07/01/2013 21:07

I'm not "getting any" at the moment, and haven't for some time, and I don't feel the need to scream at popstars Hmm

BJunction · 07/01/2013 21:10

Yeah, that's right gutted pig impersonating little girls, fuck the fuck off... fuckers

BJunction · 07/01/2013 21:13

Softlysoftly - I rate your rant 8/10, good amount of swearing and grumpyoldman content but could have done with more reference to hogs/pigs.

Convict224 · 07/01/2013 21:22

If I was getting any, I would scream like a stuck pig too.
Er I am following this thread correctly, are'nt I?

thebody · 07/01/2013 21:26

Agree my teen daughters hate it as well. No excuse for screeching unless in pain.

Softlysoftly · 08/01/2013 01:12

I feel the pig quota has been sufficiently fulfilled by subsequent posters as was my intention and up myself to 9/10 I Thankyou Grin

YANBU. God, it grates!!
I hated it as a teen too, always felt quite left out while everyone swooned over, oh I dunno, PJ and Duncan Grin

Have you all seen the Justin beiber twitter thing too?! Shock

BettySwollocksandaCrustyRack · 08/01/2013 09:19

YANBU!!!! I love GTD but wa slightly Shock at all the hysteria for that Aston whatshis face!! Crying.....whats that all about!!! :)

HecatePropolos · 08/01/2013 10:31

I think it's mass hysteria.

They wind each other up into a frenzy.

You see a similar effect at certain funerals. (of famous people)

and a related sort of thing leads to crowd violence at, for example, football matches.

Mass hysteria, mob mentality... It's all got its roots in the same place, imo. Herd behaviour.

BelleDameSansMerci · 08/01/2013 10:33

What Hecate said. As usual Grin

YANBU though.

AlienananaReflux · 08/01/2013 11:26

Displacement of responsibility could cover it too! when in a 'pack' a person is more likely to lose their inhibitions and even morals, happened with some of the atrocities in Vietnam.

Have never screamed at anyone, and certainly not likely to start, but really hoping my DD isn't a screaming boy band fan!
