Sorry, need to ask a super quick health question

I know IABU to ask here, but need a relatively quick answer :)

and I know all MNers are experts on bowel related subjects

GP has prescribed movicol. I already take fybogel (copious daily meds have bunged me up slightly ) he knows this, but didnt say whether I was supposed to stop the fybogel when I started taking the movicol?
I know the fybogel is "natural" which is why I'm not automatically assuming they shouldnt be taken together...

Having taken Movicol in the past, I would stop with the fibrogel until everything is back to normal.

You can take them together DS1 had to, depends how bad your constipation is. For the first couple of days I wouldn't move too far away from a loo, though, it seems that it can clean you out quite a bit the first time you use it!

What kind of dose of the movicol has the GP started you on? DD has had numerous sachets before and not gone for 24-48 hours (in divided doses) so although for some the effect is pretty quick others it can be slower.

2-3 sachets a day, will check strength once DS2 is asleep (feeding atm)
