To not let OH drink my archers?

I bought a couple of cans of archers and lemonade out of my money for Xmas/new year which I haven't ended up drinking. YET. (Tbh I don't drink much/often)

Oh asked if he could drink them tonight and I said no.

He's bought beer and JD and wine since payday and drunk it all, he has no money left til he gets paid in 9 days. (Long term big issues about money)

He's no alcoholic but does like a drink, doesn't normally stop at one.

When I bought it I specifically thought its safe he won't drink it! Least he asked I guess.

Will you drink them? Are you saying no simply because you want to drink them at some point? If this is the case YANBU.

I find the 'his booze/my booze' rather weird to be honest.

Yes I will drink it eventually.

It pisses me off if we go halves (with our own money not shopping money) on a bottle of something we both drink he'll drink 3/4 of it and it'll be gone before I enjoy it cos I don't drink often.

YABU to drink Archers! Wink

I think it would depend - if you live with him and share finances, the only reason to say no would be if you really do think he has a bit of a drink issue, or if you think he won't replace it before you want to drink it.

If he doesn't live with you/share finances then IMO it is a little cheeky to be expecting you to tide him over until payday, especially given what you say about money issues.

I hadn't realised Archers was still going, I love it but haven't seen it in a while and assumed it wasn't being sold anymore. Yanbu, tell your dh to keep his hands off!
