We have teens.dd very comaniable- likes to watch tv with us hang around while i cook etc. Rarley wnats pals round.

Tonight i realised that I cant remember when dh and i got to watch a film or tv together just by ourselves!!!!.We have one tv room and no tv in bedroom as dont like em in there.aibu to ban dd occasionally so we can dothis .. but tend to feel as they are nearly adult you wdnt ban a adult would you ?? but iwould like to sit with my dh once in a blue moon and watch something or just have a private conversation!!!.I end up going to bed and dd watches tv with dh(.ds installed in his room - by choice or out and sometimes with us.)

ps realise we could go out ,but sometimes wd like choice to be in a do this.aibu.!!!

Just tell your DD that you would like DH to yourself one evening and ask her of she would mind staying in her room. Bribe her with treats!

my pals dd is never seen - always in room .my pal ia often busy - we are sittin targets !!

Just tell her to go to her room as you're going to have sex on the sofa (even if you're really just going to watch Family Fortunes), she'll hot foot it upstairs, and may well not want to use the sofa again...

Ah, misread OP a bit. Could you send her an a friend out with money for pizza/cinema every once in a while?

Or get her into camping

Get a tv for your bedroom and then when you and DH wants some alone time go to bed together.

Let her have a sleepover upstairs with a pal.
