You're probably after light hearted answers but there have been so many of these threads that it's hard to know if they're serious or not

If you're unhappy with your weight then you need to stop over eating...Christmas is not an excuse to do that (unless you're not bothered about weight gain)

I love the term "sofa seal"! It's exactly how I feel at the moment but at least has made me laugh about it!

I swear to God I stuff my face all through the year but it's only ay Christmas the scales tell me this.

Erm... It was a jokey thread. Thought that was obvious. If I had gained 100lbs over Christmas (around 7 stone) that quickly I'd probably be dead.

FWIW I have been the same. 8 ferrero rochet's in one sitting earlier and I didn't even notice. And the christmas feasting is added onto a holiday abroad 2 weeks ago where I pretty much ate danish pastries for breakfast every day.

I went to Egypt ladybeagle - it was wonderful. Really lovely weather, just perfect to go and see all the monuments (apparently in summer it gets over 50). I loved it. Cried on the plane coming home

I managed to get below my all time target weight in mid December. And I celebrated by eating like Henry VIII.

Mines not from christmas. Its from the 3 weeks previous, standing on a market stall outside Mcdonalds and the Pound Shop!

I was in Sharm in the summer Getorf, yes 50 degrees. I didn't have the energy to leave the resort, it was too bloody hot.
It was lovely though.

I didn't think worra was being arsey, I thought she was trying to be supportive. Lots of people joke about stuff that's actually bothering them. I'm overweight and use humour as a pre-emotive defence mechanism.

I ate a very large bag of Twiglets and half a toblerone for dinner earlier this week! my body is begging for veg! I'm also getting married next year - I've never worried about weight but feel a new year diet (of at least eating normal meals) may be necessary!

I got up the courage to weigh myself and it says I've lost weight??
