Ggrrr!! Unimaginative christmas gifts

TBH I know IABU but am slightly fed up that mum, grandma, SIL & friend have all given me stretch mark cream as my Christmas present. Yes I'm 19 weeks pregnant but got no stretch marks last time (thanks to a bit if moisturiser when I rarely remembered) but I now have enough, (overly expensive, no evidence base at all) cream for about 3 pregnancies.

I would never dream of giving this as a gift. Just wish they had bought for ME as they normally do and not for bump!

I think I'd be a bit ticked off too!

That's nothing ..

A friend gave my ds a pressie that I gave to her ds last year ...

Guess they didn't like it :(

Oh well...

:( It sucks when people forget you are not just your bump, but a person too and deserve birthday and Christmas presents for YOURSELF.

I got maternity PJs. Slightly too small maternity PJs. From my parents. I'm 26 weeks so they have around 14 weeks of usefulness (white so no good for post-natal messiness).

These are the only present I got (DH and I didn't do gifts this year). I do feel a bit sad but ILs gave me some cash so I can treat myself.

It's not the cost of the PJs, just not very practical or imaginative. Slippers or similar would have been lovely.

They probably thought it was the kind of thing you'd not buy for yourself, but might appreciate.

Not exactly imaginative, but certainly not thoughtless. It's a shame they all bought the same though.
