Hubby has got tickets for West End Show for us & DDS to meet up with SIL & partner. We hoped to meet for lunch so we could catch up. We have changed our travel arrangements as girls have been poorly and trains to LOndon are diverted due to floods. SIL rings tonight to say they will now meet us at the theatre...won't consider driving and is worried about leaving the dog. They are considerably closer to London. They have know a out this for weeks. ???? She hasn't seen her brother for months. We didn't visit in the summer as he had started a new job. :(

Oh dear, I have issues with my families dogs tking priority over people and it is bloody annoying.

My DM cannot come her to help with my DC in the holidays because she has to look after my sisters dog while she is at work and she won't have them at her house because they are hard work.

My MIL won't come to mine to stay as she has to look after BILs dog!! Grrr. I have a dog and have made arrangements that mean I can go anywhere. even though she is mine. My DM has no problem having her at her house, though she won't have the DC, though she is not my main option for having her.

SIL should have given more notice, that was wrong, prioritising the dog over her brother is wrong.
