Is this a stealth boast re serving spoons and being posh though? What happened to 'plating up' in the kitchen?

At my mothers so her spoons. Plating up is fine for every day. Not Christmas lunch. (Is there a thread on this then?)

No Have don't panic. We haven't got any serving bowls or spoons. We do have cake forks though so that's good.

If there are serving bowls and spoons I never eat much because I don't know how much everyone else wants and don't want to look like a gannet. Three peas and a potato.
