Because I don't really like her and her kids are vile to mine and break things in my house, and if we go out I have to watch he kids as she seems completely unaware of what they are doing. She moans about her life nonstop and never ask how you are,mi find her draining.

yanbu, I have had a friend like this and ended friendship, was so much happier afterwards. Although have to say she was my BF and probably stayed friends a few years longer than was healthy.

Yanbu. No-one is making you be friends. So don't

Imnotaslimjim · 24/12/2012 10:09

YANBU. I've been in a similar position. I just made sure I was busy a few times, she soon got the hint, but I am a coward when it comes to confrontation

Christmasberry · 24/12/2012 10:11

I will be honest I have tried making excuses for a year now but she isn't getting the hint! She is getting a bit stalkerish

I ended a friendship last year. It took a lot of soul searching but in the end I decided it wasn't practical or possible to be friends with everyone, and I barely have time to see people who I do want to, never mind people that drain you.

Just end it as kindly as you can. You'll probably feel a bit shitty for a while - I did - but I am glad I did it. I was just being dishonest by keeping things going.
