The 1 Direction song Little Things doesn't sound particularly attractive? Or is it just me?

I think that's kind of the point...

Beauty is subjective.

They'll love you whatever your faults.

EuphemiaInExcelsis · 23/12/2012 13:42

She sounds like me someone much, much older than them. I find it a bit creepy and a bit too Mrs Robinson from such wee boys young men.

Megmog2005 · 23/12/2012 13:51

I really don't like the band, but I do think the dimples in her back line is taking things a bit too far

Can't be very nice for him having to watch her squeezing her dimples on a regular basis though. I can't see that relationship lasting very long tbh.

WelshMaenad · 23/12/2012 14:06

Um, why?

She sounds perfectly normal. I don't understand what's supposed to be unattractive?

But if you listen to the song, I get the impression she doesn't want him to mention these 'little things' to anyone, and then he goes and blatantly releases a song all about it, I would be most miffed off if someone did that to me.

I think it reinforces the stereotype that women are never happy with their appearance and their menfolk have to reassure/validate them.

cornystollenslave · 23/12/2012 14:15

gaslighting

But they're too young to be sat in having a cup of tea at bedtime. They should be out drinking snakebite and eating kebabs.

Has anyone else noticed that one of them sounds like Davey Jones from the Monkees?

You... you do understand that it's a fictional song about a fictional person, not written by the people singing it, don't you?

you need to blame Ed Sheeran for it since he wrote the song Wink Wink

ChocHobNob · 23/12/2012 14:19

One Direction didn't even write it. Ed Sheeran did when he was 17.

Megmog2005 · 23/12/2012 14:24

How does tea make her talk in her sleep anyway? Unless he laces it with tequila hoping for some insight into her inner most subconscious thoughts, which is just wrong.

he must have been a fast mover

MrsKeithRichards · 23/12/2012 14:36

Dimples not pimples, like little indents not pus filled spots

MrsKeithRichards · 23/12/2012 14:37

Tea, caffeine, lighter sleep may result in talking? Come on its not that hard.

cornystollenslave · 23/12/2012 14:37

pimples would be more fun though
everyone likes a good squeeze

MrsKeithRichards · 23/12/2012 14:37

Fuck me sideways I'm actually defending a one direction song.

that's because they're gaslighting you....

Megmog2005 · 23/12/2012 14:41

Ha ha. I meant to say. Squeezing her dimples in her jeans, nothing to do with a skin condition. And, crinkles round her eyes, has she not heard of Olay?

OP posts:
Megmog2005 · 23/12/2012 14:44

I deffo think there's a bit of gas lighting going on, all the little things he loves about her now he will use against her in time.

I actually feel a little bit sad for her especially at this time of year, the poor love.
