to think I should chuck this gently used pillow?

I have a wedge-shaped pillow which I used a while back after having an operation. Now I don't use it or need it, and it takes up a lot of space in our fairly small flat.

AIBU to think that others will find a second-hand pillow a really disgusting idea, so I should chuck it instead of offering it on Freecycle?

It feels really wasteful but other people wouldn't know where it's been or that it hasn't been used much at all. For that reason I feel like it should go in the rubbish rather than on Freecycle, where I give away all sorts of stuff that others might find useful!

We really don't have the space for it and I am not planning on needing another nose operation any time soon Xmas Wink

Thoughts?

I wouldn't like a pillow off a random person, if I knew the person like it was my mum then I would have no problem taking the pillow off her hands. I love wedge shapes/body shape/huge pillows.

Is it washable? If so FC it, someone might be really grateful, or be able to find another use for it (ill pet perhaps?).

Would have thought if it's machine washable it should be ok?
Like they say 'one man's tat is another man's gold'. Save's seeing it binned. Hth

Unfortunately it's too big to fit in a machine and is all sewn shut so you would have to rip the seams open to get the stuffing out for washing. It's fairly dense, not at all squishy.

Not much good for pets as it has a fairly steep slope, it would be like trying to sleep on a ramp!

I never thought people would want a second hand well used mattress but they did.
So I would free cycle it.
