as I haven't died yet, there are no zombies outside my door, and I think I probably don't have to remain sober to cope with the nuclear fall-out?

And it's the only night in the near future that I can drink, as all the kids are home and I don't need to taxi.

Yippee.

Oh YANBU. I am just home from the office, officially on hold, and the vino is open! Enjoy!

Wheredidmyyouthgo · 21/12/2012 19:55

On hols! I am not on hold! Xmas Confused

MaryChristmaZEverybody · 21/12/2012 19:58

I think I might delve into the Christmas chocolate too.

Here, have a revolting nutty one.

Was confused there. It's always ok to open Wine. I'll have a chock but no cracknels or mini bounty bars please Xmas Grin

TheGrinchWhoStoleTweasels · 21/12/2012 20:00

I would suspect that the apocalypse would be so much more fun whilst pissed.

MaryChristmaZEverybody · 21/12/2012 20:06

No Bountys here. I refuse to buy Celebrations since the year I actually counted the chocolates in the tin and discovered that more than a third of them were Bounty and Snickers Xmas Shock.

I'll stick to gooey Roses tonight. Though I also have Heroes.

Wine in fridge for me. I'm
At work and thinking longingly about that glass

Hassled · 21/12/2012 20:09

I'm bored of waiting for the world to end. I've started the wine.

OnTheBottomWithAStringOfTinsel · 21/12/2012 20:20

Am sick of roses Maryz. 3 HUGE tins in work. Think I've eaten my own weight in them. Also I can't open the wine till 10.30 as am ferrying DD to some disco to see Gaz (sp?) from Geordie Shore. Oh my life is so exciting on a fri night!

YANBU

Christmas is all about empty calories and sugar.

MaryChristmaZEverybody · 21/12/2012 21:00

See, that's what I'm moaning about OnThBottom. I'm fed up of having to stay completely sober in order to ferry kids around.

I thought I would get my social life back when I didn't need babysitters any more Hmm.

I might have to start a moany thread about how you get less sleep with teenagers than you do with toddlers. And wonder if I would be unreasonable to lock them in their bedrooms [hopeful]

Xmas Grin

DD keeps promising that she will learn to drive asap when she's old enough & then she will return all the lifts.

This from the girl who had to write L & R on her hands when learning a dance last year...

Ah well the thought is there!

MaryChristmaZEverybody · 21/12/2012 21:41

dd is 17 in the summer.

I will insure her on my car if she promises to collect ds2 from all his parties.

I will retire then.

OnTheBottomWithAStringOfTinsel · 21/12/2012 22:44

She's meeting him now!

Great, means I can get home soon, as am sitting in my mum's sitting room and she is drinking nice red wine in front of me! Rubbing it in too...

OnTheBottomWithAStringOfTinsel · 21/12/2012 22:46

Not literally rubbing it in, that would be a horrible massage!

WorraLorraTurkey · 21/12/2012 22:49

I don't have the ferrying problem with my kids/teens because we don't have a car.

Sell it and buy more wine Xmas Grin Wine
