To cancel personal training tonight?

This is more of a help me decide thread!

I'm loaded with the cold. Keep having to blow my noise, tight throat and chest.

I'm wondering whether to cancel tonight's personal training session.

But at the same time, I really want to lose a dress size!

Also my mum will know as the trainer is a friends daughter and my (skinny) mum never shuts up about my need to lose weight and even if I were in hospital or something she would see it as quitting.

So basically wwyd?

two things

  1. tell your mum to shit off
  1. Take 2 nurofen cold and flu and go - I did this morning and it helps - exercise helps fight illness

cancel and wait till you're better

tell your mum to mind her own

Catsdontcare · 21/12/2012 11:09

Exercising whilst ill is counter productive and tell your mum to get knobbed

Ranthambore · 21/12/2012 11:10

Cancel it. My trainer won't let me train with a cold. He says it has the potential to damage your heart.

gordyslovesheep · 21/12/2012 11:11

just let her know you have a cold and she should adjust your session

mn014 · 21/12/2012 11:14

Damage my heart? Really? Eek

Have taken the nurofen. Hasn't started working yet.

Cancel it - a good trainer won't let you do it with a bad chest anyway. And then find a new trainer that isn't going to report back to your interfering mother. You should only be doing it for yourself, not to satisfy her weight anxiety.

rubydoobydoo · 21/12/2012 11:22

Cancel it - it'd be a waste of a session if you're not really feeling up to it. I cancelled mine yesterday for the same reason!

LessMissAbs · 21/12/2012 11:34

Cancel and just go out for a very slow run instead, without getting out of breath. Much cheaper too!

SugaricePlumFairy · 21/12/2012 11:37

Of course cancel, you shouldn't do hard exercise when you're unwell anyway.

Tell your Mum to butt out! Xmas Wink

If it's just your head that's ill then train. If it is below the neck eg in chest then don't...
