I've just been stood outside the fecking school for 45 minutes in cold and rain and wind waiting for dd1 to get home from her panto. Not the schools fault, admittedly, the next town to us is flooded. The buses got stuck in traffic.
However if the school had told us when we'd arrived that bus was still at x stuck in traffic then I could have gone back home to drop the dog in (who is a hound, had no coat because I was expecting to only be there 5 mins and was soaked to the skin and shaking so hard I could feel it at the end of his 6ft leash) and I could have gotten dd2 and I a brolly and flask of something hot.
Instead they opened the hall but still maintained their rules that dogs were not even allowed inside the gates to stand under the roof of the outside passageway and kept telling us the bus would "be here soon" I don't count 45 fucking minutes as soon.
Dd2 was not allowed in the hall unsupervised but they at least let stand under outside shelter.
As if that was not bad enough some stupid fecking bint had left her dog aggressive dog tied, unsupervised outside the shop so I had to choose between walking all the way to crossing the main at rush hour (which would have taken ages) and then crossing back after we'd passed the dog or waiting in the rain and cold still shivering until she had removed her fucking dog and she didn't even have the courtesy to apologise she just made sill kissy, synpathetic noises to her dog who was still trying to eat my dog.
