DD has run out of her blue inhalers. Down to the surgery, told she doesn't need one, the hospital has changed her regime. When we went to the hospital in November, they did indeed change her regime. They put her back on the blue inhalers. Fuckwits have forgotten to put that in the letter.
Aarghhhhh!
I am going to be spending tomorrow tracking down a sodding consultant and getting letters faxed here there and sodding everywhere.
Grrrrrr!

I think you can buy the blue inhalers? There was a thread about this a couple of days ago and I'm sure a few posters said you can buy them....

YANBU though.

Sirzy · 20/12/2012 17:45

Why wouldn't an asthmatic (I assume?) need a blue inhaler?

Hope you get it sorted.

Outraged you can only buy them for adults not children.

MrsBW · 20/12/2012 17:46

Yup.... You can now buy them from a pharmacy. Asda do them too I think.

Ah, didn't realise there was a difference between adult and children ones... Sorry Blush

jendot · 20/12/2012 17:48

I buy them for me... And my ds borrows them!!! About £13 for 3 I pay. My doc won't prescribe them, he reckons the consultant 'over uses ' them. I gave up arguing when I got nowhere!!! We are waiting for a follow up appointment at the hospital to try and get it all sorted! I feel your pain....

Sirzy · 20/12/2012 17:50

The actual inhaler is the same for adults and children but I know asda won't sell them for children. I would have thought that will be the same for all similar service.

Thank you all. DD is sixteen, that surely means she counts as an adult. I'll get to a Lloyds tomorrow!
