I need to ring this lady up, only had email exchange so far and she seems lovely and I don't want to get her name wrong when I ring her tomorrow morning.

So how do you pronounce -

  • Litowczuk

Hmmm. I would pronounce it "littochuck"?

KindleMum · 20/12/2012 16:47

I'd go for Lit- ov- chook

ChunkyPickle · 20/12/2012 16:48

You can get google translate to say it for you
translate.google.com/#auto/en/Litowczuk - make sure it knows it's trying to pronounce Polish (I'm guessing)

it's something like Leee-tov-zhuck

Cailleach · 20/12/2012 16:49

At a guess I would say "Lit-off-chuck" with the stress on the middle syllable.

W is always pronounced as a V or FF type of sound in Polish and czuk is pronounced "chuck".

Shakirasma · 20/12/2012 16:50

I would say Litt-oh-zuk

nickelbabylyinginamanger · 20/12/2012 16:50

lit-ov-chuk

forbiddenfruit85 · 20/12/2012 16:52

I'm awful with pronunciation. I knew a girl call Zosia.

I always thought her name was - Zo Sia
