The roads are flooded again, I'm having to go the long way round and that's awful too.

Huge holes in the main road where drains have fallen in.

Everywhere is turning into a swamp, really we have had enough!

Marne · 20/12/2012 14:02

Me too, we are in Dorset and the roads are quite bad and theres more to come tomorrow night and over the weekend (and x-mas eve). My dd's presents are all kept at my mums, i hope i dont have to use a boat to go and get them.

ChocHobNob · 20/12/2012 14:02

YANBU.

ILikeToHoHoHo · 20/12/2012 14:05

YANBU, it's getting on my tits.

What happened to that lovely bright and frosty weather last week? I bloody loved it.

MyChemicalMummy · 20/12/2012 14:26

Hate rain. love bright frosty and cold days

redlac · 20/12/2012 14:33

YANBU

It has been dark and dreich here all day - its not getting me into the christmas spirit at all :(

Startail · 20/12/2012 15:31

and it's still at it.

However, it looks like we might get tomorrow off, before it starts again.

I live on narrow country lanes, with lots of big tractors that churn up the verges it's normally a bit muddy, but with muddy water pouring of the fields as well.

It's just brown and depressing and the car is brown too!

YANBU. Apart from anything else rain is so unchristmassy!

valiumredhead · 20/12/2012 16:04

Pissing down here but better than snow!

freddiefrog · 20/12/2012 16:07

YANBU

Everywhere is flooded, lots of road closed, a couple of little landslips and the unmade track into our little estate is a mud bath and it's impossible to get my car down it

NiniLegsInTheAir · 20/12/2012 16:17

I have a serious leak in my roof but can't get anybody out to fix it before xmas. Not the kind of worry I need right now Sad

(is watching the damp patch on the ceiling in the bedroom get bigger every day...)

NiniLegsInTheAir · 20/12/2012 16:17

So YANBU.

diabolo · 20/12/2012 16:40

YANBU - 24 hours non-stop here.

Maybe the world will end tomorrow with a flood of Biblical proportions. I'm off to get some gopher wood, some nails and a pair of elephants. Xmas Grin

ChickensHaveNoEyebrows · 20/12/2012 16:41

YANBU. It feels like it has rained solidly since March.

LineRunner · 20/12/2012 16:44

It's getting on my tits, too.

Really fucking is.

Sorry about your leak, Nini.

Molepomandmistletoe · 20/12/2012 18:13

YANBU

I'm so sick of everything being damp from the rain, it's harder to warm up from rain than it is from snow.

Startail · 20/12/2012 22:23

Nini hope your leak isn't too bad.

Village post master said they have a leak in their flat.

He is not happy, the shop is far to busy to be dealing with leaks this near Christmas.

OP posts:
SantaisBarredfromhavingStella · 20/12/2012 22:37

YANBU, I have a major strop on at the moment as the weather is far too mild so there is fuck all chance of even frost for Christmas let alone snow-it's just not on!!!

NiniLegsInTheAir · 21/12/2012 10:07

My husband should be back tonight so hoping he can help me get into the loft space so I can take a look and try to stem the leak until someone can come out. Bloody nightmare when the damp patch is above your head!

BUT....it is at least dry here at the moment! A sign of today's apocalypse? Grin

SantaWearsGreen · 21/12/2012 10:54

Yanbu but nice dry day today!

I hate rain, its miserable. I wish it sould snow Xmas Sad

SantaWearsGreen · 21/12/2012 10:54
