Anyone else constantly fiddle with their Xmas tree?

Ours went up tonight and I can't sit still. There is always somewhere on there where the decorations aren't quite symetrical or grouped to closely or not closely enough...or......:o

I know I will be like this until it comes down, I always am! Anyone else or is it just me?!

Me too. It is now perfect from most directions, but not quite perfect from west-south-west.
Not that I am OCD or anything...

Purplemonster · 19/12/2012 23:16

Not just you, I was tempted not to put it up at all because it drives me so crazy trying to get it right.

BuntyPenfold · 19/12/2012 23:20

DD says I have OCOS

(obsessive compulsive .......oooooh, shiny!!)

FatherHankTree · 19/12/2012 23:21

It's not just you. DD did the tree this year; she wanted a white/silver/blue theme, but there isn't an equal distribution of baubles and I'm itching to rearrange them.

IkissedSanta · 19/12/2012 23:23

me to only put mine up yesterday as it takes hours lol

so glad its just not me mine has to be symmetrical as well anything else is just wrong

crazycrackernanna · 19/12/2012 23:25

Yes I do. Actually I reorganise the baubles on average once per hour.

'Cos I have a frigging cat! Hmm

SrirachaGirl · 19/12/2012 23:29

YANBU. We have ours in the front hall and I let the DCs decorate it ; they put all the naice decorations on the back. I moved them all to the front where they will be seen by callers. .

rhondajean · 19/12/2012 23:34

I thought this might be a euphemism?

Softlysoftly · 20/12/2012 00:00

You'd hate our tree, DD1 did the baubles and other hanging stuff meaning while the lights are perfect the tree has decorations on one side at 3 yr old head height, sometimes 4 per sadly hanging branch.

Plus her homemade star is too heavy for the top (overdose of paint & glitter) so it droops to one side alarmingly. I love it!

Bogeyface · 20/12/2012 00:22

That drove me to the point of distraction one year! I solved it by going for one colour theme, expect that I had shiny gold, opaque gold and glittery gold, large and small.

That was worse. I got through an entire bottle of Baileys on one night and cried! I balled like a baby, because I was soo pissed annoyed that I couldnt get it right :o

The homemade topper is the one thing that doesnt give me palpitations. We have a very scary looking angel we all made together one year that makes the top wobble precariously, but I wouldnt dream of having anything else.

And it makes me laugh when visitors try to make nice comments about the ugliest angel ever! She is named Maude and reminds me of Les Dawson!

I clicked on this thinking it was an elaborate metaphor for, ahem, masturbation.

However, since I'm here I must say I never touch the tree until it's time to take it down. But then I'm the one who decorates it, so it must be perfect.

Note to self: new kitten in da house may make tree deckers twitching a new habit.Xmas Grin
