i work as a cleaner for a company and the lady I clean has said she does not want me over Xmas to clean her house but does want me to make the time up - for the time she does not want me- so I will have 10 hours to make up -I asked my boss and I do not seem this fair, or do I have to have to be more assertive n this one. thanks

Maybe she wants you to make up the hours so that you don't lose out on pay?

whois · 19/12/2012 12:47

I think she means she wants you to make up the time after Xmas so you don't actually loose out on cash.

If you'd rather not make up the hours and loose the cash as you're too busy then tell her that!

Maybe she has paid for a certain amount of hours or something. Surely you would want to make the time up anyway so you don't lose out on your wages.

Yeah, but if she wants you to do MORE hours later then you will get paid for those won't you??

flowerytaleofNewYork · 19/12/2012 12:55

I'm assuming your boss is an agency who employ you and the lady you clean with is their client?

What does your boss say, is he/she wanting you to do the extra hours? What does your contract say about hours?

pinkglitter · 19/12/2012 12:58

yes that's right i work for a company and this lady is the client
I will check my contract
