I ordered flowers to be delivered today and having tracked them through citilink it appears they arrived at the distribution depot yesterday afternoon. Despite my Dad waiting in all day for them ( they are for DM) they have disappeared into the ether. I dread to think of the state of them after been carted around in a van all day.
I have emailed them to ask for a refund, has anyone else had similar experience; what was the result?
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I used to love m&s

The past few months they have turned shittier then a shit thing.

The least they could do is refund

A friend of mine had a similar experience with a M&S fruit basket , after much complaining her friend ended up with the original fruit basket , a new fruit basket and my friend got a refund , so persevere with your complaint.

It sounds as though the problem lies with Citi Link rather than Marks though.

I ordered a bottle of Champagne and a birthday cake to be delivered, on a named day (the birthday, obviously).

They were dispatched on the correct day, but never arrived. When I called to find out what on Earth was going on they told me the courier had run out of time on his shift so they were taken back to the depot.

After a lot of complaining and refusing their offers of redelivery on another day (they found it odd that I didn't want a birthday cake delivered after the event) I eventually had my money refunded and a gift voucher to the value of my order sent to the original recipient.

Despite them refunding my money and sending the voucher, it still meant that the recipient was without a gift on their birthday. If I hadn't asked them if they had received it I wouldn't have known, so I will never order a gift delivery from them again.

The problem is still Marks and Sparks as they choose the courier company. It is just so bloody irritating. Not seeing DP until after Xmas, so these were a little interim gift. DF's gift arrived today (some fruit cakes from Betty's of Harrogate - super efficient delivery, highly recommend).
Now DM is a bit miffed (admitted it doesn't take a lot with her) as it looks like I have sent him a gift and not her. Added to which, they won't be in tomorrow to accept delivery.
Won't be using them again.

Haven't used M&S for flowers for a couple of years because they are SO unreliable. The last straw was one Easter when I ordered a flower arrangement for my mum and the same for my sister. They didn't turn up; I complained; they sent the wrong things; I complained and, about 2 weeks after Easter the right things turned up. It turned into a mega saga.

I find their delivery service a bit unsatisfactory generally (not just for flowers) and have complained about it. I've opened the door to find packages from M&S propped against it. Left in full view of the street and no card pushed through the door. Once it happened when I was in and didn't hear anybody ring the bell. Another time I heard the bell, went straight to the door and saw the delivery man driving off having left the package by the door. Another time my mum sent me a plant arrangement and the box it was in was dropped over the side gate - soil everywhere and some bedraggled plants. I could go on and only order stuff from them now when I really have to .....

I had problems like this with M&S a few years ago and had to fight and now use Bunches and have never had a problem since.

only.... your Marks and Spencer!

I ordered my Christmas wrapping paper and matching tags on 4th December. On 15th December I received 2 emails. The first email was to say the money had been taken out of my account. The second email was to say that my tags would be delivered on the 16th December and the wrapping paper on .... the 4th February!!!!!

I phoned to complain and they said that they would take the money for the tags but cancel the wrapping paper order. I went biserk and asked what the point was in having tags but no wrapping paper.

When the courier turned up to deliver the tags, I refused to take them and refused to sign any machine either.

There is no way I will be ordering from them again.
