To want a Christmas do?

I want to get dressed up and go somewhere nice, with good food and good conversation.

Instead I am stuck here with 2 snotty children, while DH is out on his third Christmas party.

YANBU Have you any friends with whom you can arrange a night out with?

eltsihT · 18/12/2012 16:33

I agree. I struggle to find baby sitters and have missed out on going to 3 nights out as hubby was out of the country. Hubby came home early as job was weather delayed yeah! prays for more bad weather so hubby can stay home till new year and he is going to his works night out while I stay at home and miss my works night out... Admittedly I can't go to mine as it was a pay before hand thingy...

Maybe we should get dressed up and have a mums night in instead on here!

I agree, I'm an enforced SAHM and DHs American company aren't even doing a Christmas do that I can crash! Meeting two other mums for mulled wine tonight instead

Isn't this what MN Local is for? If we MNers in Western Canada can organise a piss up surely you can? Xmas Grin

My Christmas do was a trip to the pub with some school mums (also a SAHM).

I wore sequins so it definitely counted.

YANBU

This year one meal out, club chooses venue unsuitable for under 18s even though DD1 is a member and 14 (They always meet in a pub, sec doesn't have DCs never thought to check party night rules)

and DHs works do and therefore my night in a nice hotel is cancelled.

I'm a SAHM, now I'm sentenced to 100% family and no reason to wear anything nice.

YANBU, I joined the pre-school committee partly so I could go to the Christmas do when my children were little.
