...to finish the Jaffa Cakes?

Reasons for:

(1) I am 39 weeks pregnant.
(2) I am really peckish.
(3) DH didn't take the bins out so it's totally okay if I finish the box without him having had any.
(4) Technically the world could end soon and they might be languishing uneaten in the cupboard. I do hate waste.

Reasons against:

(1) You can't get them in America so these have been carefully hoarded for weeks since my Mum visited.
(2) I probably ate more than my share of the last box, too.
(3) DH is actually a bloody saint who is doing most of the housework and childcare at the moment, and very busy at work, and might quite want one when he gets home.

Based on there being one more reason in the 'for' than 'against' list, I rather fancy finishing the jaffa cakes. AIBU?

Let me tell you my Jaffa cakes story: bought a double pack, opened one and hade three cakes, left the rest on the table.

Went to the shops (was out for about 25 minutes).

Came home to bits of cardboard on the carpet and a very hyper dog...

Moral of the story: eat the cakes, saving them for later just doesn't work!AngrySad

oh heavens, clever, if CurrantDog tried that I think she'd be in real trouble. She's an American dog, she doesn't get so much as a sniff of my precioussssss hoarded British treats! does eat long-dead squirrels in the woods though

Leave him one and tell him the dog got them?

Or eat the lot and tell him that the baby needed some English biscuits Xmas Grin

Well I do need to work on anglicising the baby, it's true...

Toddler DS says "Trousers" and "nappy" instead of "Pants" and "diapers" despite living his whole life in America and we still haven't sorted his British passport so we must keep up the work!
[weirdly proud of this]

Oooh you can get a yard of Jaffa cakes for £3 in Tesco at the moment .... Quick get your mum to stock up whilst you finish up what you've got!!!!
