to be disappointed in my first competition win?

I recently won a competition online and was sent through my prize described as a "hamper" which actually came to me in a white jiffy bag with my name and address scrawled on the front (wrongly and then corrected) in biro with four things inside (two of which can be bought in poundland).

I was obviously excited as I am not a great winner of competitions but I find myself disappointed that my first win should be so crap lacking in thought and effort. Sad

I'm grateful for the free things but at the same time think as described and prictured would mean a pretty box and maybe even my name and address written correctly?

Tell me I'm being ungrateful and should just be pleased to win!!

No, that sounds rubbish. I'd be pissed off too.

Thanks BOFingSanta. It may also be that my DS has horrendous chicken pox and so was looking forward to a nice treat and it was so poo! Xmas Smile

That does sound a bit lacking. More of a school raffle prize than a competition prize.

It was a reputable website too! Its not the website who gave out the prizes so I don't blame them they just had a nice shiney hamper picture and the reality was lame!
