Should I just ban the show or should I send DH to bed without supper for talking such smut?

I avoided ITNG on purpose as I know it just doesn't end well and all kids who see it seem to become obsessed, my DGM let him watch it by accident and that's it. :( He actually points to the TV now and goes "Ih!" until it goes on, even if the TV is switched off, we got him an Iggle Piggle blanket and he drags it around the house.
