to expect a refund

Dc have been going swimming to the same place at the same time for the last 2 years. They have both been at the same skill level for the last 2 terms and are not moving up this time. The pool has a priority enrolment system for existing students and we completed forms on time.
We have been given our class time for next term and we have not got either our 1st or 2nd choice.
The time offered is not convenient as it clashes with other commitments.
AIBU to expect a refund in these circumstances even though terms and conditions state payments are non refundable.

yanbu but chances are others have been offered the times you wanted and that may also not be convenient to them so I'd ask to go on a waiting list for those until the NY at which point you need a refund if you can't move.

Would need to check full T and C as not sure whether its just non refundable if you change your mind which we haven't.
I just cannot understand how it happened unless an error occurred at their end as surely if you complete enrolment in the priority period you should not lose your place in your class.

Ask them if it can possibly be changed, if you can swap with someone else or whatever.

However, you have paid they have offered you a class so as far as they are concerned it would be a case of you having changed your mind. If the T and C says no refunds then unfortunatly I can't see them giving one.

Person dealing with it not available. We have given them 3 times we can do. (last one really not convenient but we can probably put up with it for a term)
If they cannot do this we have asked for a refund. I think that's fair.
Especially as pool have admited they sent us a letter with wrong times due to a computer error. (not received that letter yet)
