So I went out on a work party. Had quite a lot to drink. Dh and I were staying in a hotel room. He was snoring away and I took a shower to remove my makeup. I stepped out of the shower, missed the mat and fell 14 stone on my wrist. Woke dh up screaming and his response? Stop being so melodramatic! Currently on my own in a&e minus contact lenses waiting for the results of my X-ray. Feeling very sorry for myself. Little bro on his way, dh snoring in hotel room. My fingers are tingling, in lots of pain, still drunk, upset with dh but I think it's not broken. Need good hand holding... Where do I go from here? Dd at my dsis's and in nursery in morning. Currently mad at dh. Typing with left hand... Anyone?

Hope you get your wrist sorted OP. I'd be mad as fuck with your nobend H actually - being drunk doesn't excuse him from looking after his wife when she falls badly and needs to go to A&E. What if you'd had a head injury and couldn't make your own way there - would he have just left you?

Agree with going back to hotel for your breakfast if you can making sure you make lots of noise when you get in so your 'D'H wakes up. Then after breakfast get your keys and go home for some sleep. Whether it's broken or not, he's definitely got some making up to do.

Just popping in. Though the main guest looks to have either run out of iPhone juice, struck up conversation with the laughing person or is being dealt with.

I am awake with my gorgeous 7yr old and a high-temperature. Debating whether it not to put the heating on or cuddle the hot 7yr old.

You do have a right to be mad at DH though. However I made (EX) DP go to A&E on his own. Many times. He kept falling over, I wasn't heartless but I had to care for DC and furthermore he was drunk and I thought it would teach him not to be so drunk in future, I didn't want to pander to it. But in your case, I'm annoyed on your behalf!

Finally home - minus dh. I think he's still at the hotel. Nothing broken, just sprained and sore. Thank you for all the support. I'm really not happy with dh, he needs to do some major grovelling!

Purple poor you DH has some definite making up to do. Waiting on you hand and foot I hope! If my OH fell and hurt his wrist I wouldn't leave him to go alone. Hope you get some rest

Hmm I am pretty sure if a woman posted here that her dh had come home, fallen over drunk and was rolling about, screaming they had broken their wrist. They would be told to call him a taxi and send him to hospital on his own and its own fault for getting steaming drunk and trying to get in the shower.

Why would you want a drunk man there anyway? and you could have gone back to the hotel.
