That is all.

Xmas Grin

Oh gosh, yes you are, there are much cuter dogs in the world than those little yappy things!

(but each to their own, of course)

TinyDancingHoofer · 14/12/2012 01:53

What a cute hamster dog. It'd definitely get sat on and squished.

CoolaYuleA · 14/12/2012 02:03

Ewoks are real?!

Whether or not YABU to want one - whoever dressed that poor dog up in a top hat, handlebar moustache (and did I see a monacle?) was definitely being unreasonable.

Dogs are dogs, not dolls. Totally different spelling.

SantaIAmSoFuckingRock · 14/12/2012 02:29

they look like furbys! Grin

those things have to be photoshopped?

HarlettHoHoHoScara · 14/12/2012 04:13

YABVU to want a runt which has been bred from runts purposely to create even tinier versions of an already tiny breed.

Demand for such puppies is why puppy farming continues to flourish.

FellatioNelson · 14/12/2012 04:33

WTF even is that? It's exceptionally cute, I'll grant you, but WTF is it? Not a dog, surely? Looks like a miniature raccoon x bear x fox x furby x ewok.

TheFutureMrsB · 14/12/2012 04:45

Nooo YADNBU I want a little hamster cute doggy too lol! x

Jacksmania · 14/12/2012 05:07

At least it's not a fucker snail.

Um

It's

cute
hideous
adorable
likely to be annoying

I can'r decide.

fuzzypicklehead · 14/12/2012 06:37

It's like a living snowball.

The hat/monocle/moustache are photoshopped in, though. Total dealbreaker for me. If the dog actually grew a handlebar moustache, I'd be tempted.

rogersmellyonthetelly · 14/12/2012 08:19

Well I like guinea pigs and rabbits, so I'm not the best person to ask about small cute fluffy things, and yes it is very cute, but I don't think breeding any animal purely for its size is a good idea, sorry, it's just unethical.

OutragedAtThePriceOfFreddos · 14/12/2012 08:22

If you had said you wanted a teacup pig, you would not have been unreasonable. As it is, YABVU.

MaryChristmaZEverybody · 14/12/2012 08:23

It's a pygmy puff Shock

I thought they were imaginary. If we are coveting Harry Potter pets I'd like a Cruikshanks please.

bradywasmyfavouritewiseman · 14/12/2012 08:26

Well I made the mistake of opening that link in front of dd who has fallen in love.

They are lovely. However, they are not as cute when they grow up. That is assuming they are puppies. Are they?

chinglebellsbatmansmells · 14/12/2012 08:49

Oh dear, I had no idea they were specifically bred to be that cute size. Xmas Sad

And no idea if they are puppies or not. I'm normally a lover of huge, beasty dogs but I thought these ones looked like bear cubs and completely fell in love!

AngelGabrielWreakinHavoc · 14/12/2012 08:51

What are they? Xmas Shock

LondonElfInFestiveCheerBoots · 14/12/2012 09:40

Xmas Grin Mary's pygmy puff. I want a Norwegian Ridgeback if someone is going to Diagon Alley.

I'd step on them, I'm incredibly clumsy. And the amount of brushing they'd need! Cuter in photos I think.

kiwigirl42 · 14/12/2012 09:46

aww. I bet they think that they are really big dogs too. They'd be great fun!

WandaDoff · 14/12/2012 09:48

Do they bark or squeak?

wildfig · 14/12/2012 09:53

YABVU. 'Teacup' anything is a 100% guaranteed indication of a puppy farmer. And puppy farming is absolutely abhorrent.

quoteunquote · 14/12/2012 10:54

www.mbfonline.com/pomhealth/

miniaturising a dog that all ready has genetic problems just exacerbates the problems, highly irresponsible.

Ephiny · 14/12/2012 11:04

BearDog would probably step on and squash it (in all seriousness I heard a sad story a while back about a chihuahua accidentally crushed and killed by the owner's other dog, a rottie).

I don't like the idea of miniaturised/handbag dogs tbh. And I don't think they're cute, though possibly I'm prejudiced because so many of the tiny dogs I've met have been horrible aggressive spoilt little things due to the owners treating them like toys or babies rather than actual dogs. I'm sure they can be fine if they're trained and socialised and given boundaries like any other dog, but so often that's not the case.

Actually I met one that could barely walk at all, it's leg muscles were so wasted from being carried around everywhere like a doll and never exercised. I just find the whole thing a bit distasteful really.

bradywasmyfavouritewiseman · 14/12/2012 11:06

So they aren't puppies?

Oh my god. My toddle would kill it.

I don't like 'teacup' dogs at all. Its cruel. I thought they were puppies.

Ephiny · 14/12/2012 11:08

Sorry, I know it's a light-hearted thread. And some of them are cute.

I'm a big-dog person though, probably always will be!

Lesbeadiva · 14/12/2012 11:11

They are awful. A dog should never be a fad...which unfortunately these are Xmas Sad. Get a furby Grin
