DD1s first ever preschool concert. DD2 is poorly so we were late out of the house and are at the back of the line.

I feel panicky, like being last in line for gig tickets. We are going to get shit seats, I'm not going to see my PFB being a snowflake am I???

Yes of course you are!
You need to toughen up and do what everyone else will be doing, mainly standing up when DC's come in or are on stage, catching their eye and waving madly.
(Have had 8 years experience at this with another 10 to go...)

I had second row seats at my DS leavers play, I thought it was great because I'd see him..but it turned out he was on the other side of the stage so I hardly saw him at all.
Can you stand up if you're at the back? We do if we get back seats.

At least you will be there I missed DD2 being a star in her first play this morning because my 2 oldest are ill and this is the only christmas event that DH managed to get off work for. I pretended not to be bothered so he could go and not feel bad :(

I stood at the back during my dds nativity, easier to see than sitting down :-)
the main thing is you made it and will see your wee ones debut on stage :-)

Yey following sound MN advice I sat on floor at front then stood and waved and DH stood up at back with camera.

She was a fabulous snowflake, plus she gatecrashed the nativity scene to do the angel song "because I knew it mummy" and for an added bonus we had to wait for Joseph to finish having his poo to do his part
