to eat all the pies?

We had have 3 boxes of mince pies. We can't get them here, MIL brought them over with her on her weekend visit. Husband went away on business trip yesterday and left pregnant me at home alone with 3 boxes of mince pies. Would I be unreasonable to scoff the lot the before he gets back?

You should have got her to bring you some jars of mincemeat then you could have made your own too! :)

She did, 2 of those big buckets of it. She's like Santa. She also brought Roses, crackers, 2 homemade Christmas puddings, Bendicts mints, cranberry sauce, Quality Street and a suitcase full of pressies. But it's the mincepies that are whispering my name and begging me to eat them.

The best mince pies are those made with half mincemeat mixed with half lightly stewed apple - which you should be able to get. (My Mom's secret trick.) Trouble is that you would have to get rid of any other, more traditional, mince pies first so that the good ones could be properly appreciated.

Obviously, I can't force you into your duty by your DH - but someone has got to finish them first!

Hmm, I have several tonnes of stewed apple in the cellar. I keep preserving the apples from the trees in the garden but never using any of it up. Good idea. I will take my duty very seriously.

It would not be your fault if they all jumped into your mouth now, would it??
Plus, the baby wants them, surely?

My baby's had 2 mince pies already today. YADNBU.
