Edf statement came, DH read it & told me we were £300 odd in credit & our DDM would be dropping in the future. 'Great', I thought 'we'll see if we can get some of that back, will be handy for Christmas'.

Today I look at the statement, no we're not in credit at all, we actually owe them £200 (luckily they're not demanding it but are altering our DDM) but the DDM is going to increase slightly not decrease as I thought.

I'd got all excited about this money, so AIBU to be slightly miffed at DH? I know there's bugger all I can do about it & it wont cause a row but Angry

How could he have misinterpreted it so wrong?

This type of thing is why my DH stays clear of bills. He finds them baffling, maybe your DH has the same kind of weird issue with understanding bills. YANBU to feel a bit peeved when you thought you were going to be better off than you are.
