to not put something in DS' advent train?

DS,3, has been an absolute horror this afternoon, screaming tantrums, throwing toys, yelling at people and point blank refused to eat his dinner.

We told him that the train is filled by Santa's elves if he has been good, and they are watching him and reporting back to Santa.

So...do I leave it empty because of his behaviour? Or put something in it because, well because it's part of christmas?

I would not make a threat that I wasn't willing to carry out. If you didn't want to not fill the train if he was challenging, why say it?

Did you tell hom santa would leave or empty if he was naughty?
I do think it's rather mean to carry the punishment through to another day and it's likely to set him of again I should imagine

That's what I thought but DP said that it would be mean because it's christmas, he was tired etc etc and was making me feel like the grinch

Don't leave it empty, he will be heartbroken

but think of another consequence you can apply without it making your guts clench!

Oooo brainwave before heading to bed.

Instead of a mini sweetie bag/choc bar I have left a single jelly bean.

So not nothing, but nothing like a 'normal' treat.
