Ok not quite Baileys, more Aldi's version which is equally as lovely. Bought on Thursday, finished about ten minutes ago.

Bugger.

Lol. I would have done that too if i had any in the house. Seems reasonable to me!

mrskeithrichards · 04/12/2012 21:07

I cannot buy anymore until Christmas eve now or I'll just keep drinking it!

It's half the price of Baileys. So you can buy another bottle and have lost nothing Grin

Agent64 · 04/12/2012 21:09

Harrah Xmas Grin

I've made a start on the Christmas wine.

DowntonSprouts · 04/12/2012 21:10

I have eaten the Christmas chocolates.

Orange Matchmakers.
Box of Thorntons.
All the galaxy caramels out of box of Celebrations.
Popping Candy Chocolate Orange.

Oops...

Have you noticed the shops all start doing drink promotions beginning of December (i.e 25% off 6 bottles of wine) They KNOW that if they can tempt you to buy your Christmas booze now you'll drink it before Christmas and have to buy more - not daft those supermarkets!

ConsiderCasey · 04/12/2012 21:11

Oooooh half price Baileys! I'm going to Aldi tomorrow...

To make you feel better OP, I bought my Xmas Tia Maria early November and finished it weeks ago.

It was on special offer though Xmas Grin

thebody · 04/12/2012 21:13

We have often broken into wrapped presents and drank balileys wine, sherry etc.

Very very understandable op.

mrskeithrichards · 04/12/2012 21:14

It's about £4.99 from what I can remember I was very pleased to sneak it in and still keep under budget. God I love Aldi. No Christmas food in yet, for that reason.

I've made my own, and the best bit is you have to drink it within 4 days or it goes off Grin Bottoms up.

SantyClaws · 04/12/2012 21:22

oh don't i've been eyeing up my bottle - they brought out a hazelnut one and it's vair nice

i hid it in the laundry room but i know it's in there.....

KinkyDoritoWithJingleBellsOn · 04/12/2012 21:23

Christmas Baileys should be for the full duration of the pre and post celebrations.

It is the law.

TeamSledward · 04/12/2012 21:26

I'm halfway through a litre of Harveys Bristol Cream bought for Christmas...

PixieHot · 04/12/2012 21:30

I'm about to have a Green & Black's hot chocolate with added Christmas Baileys Xmas Smile.

bonnieslilsister · 04/12/2012 21:33

how do you make it boris ? is it just as good? am secretly hoping you cant remember as i know it would be a bad move for me to make it

mrskeithrichards · 04/12/2012 22:30

The Christmas cupboard is calling me

The urge to take the Baileys truffles to bed with me (Jilly Cooper's coming too) is overwhelming

trixymalixy · 04/12/2012 22:39

dH has finished ours. I got one glass. It was also aldi's version.

breatheslowly · 04/12/2012 23:25

Don't you mean the "pre-Christmas" baileys? I think you need to do a taste test of similar products and report back to us before Christmas so that we know which one to buy. I insist. And we probably need more than one opinion. Any volunteers?

theoldtrout01876 · 05/12/2012 00:40

1 C light cream (I used heavy whipping cream, which made it even richer)
14 oz sweetened condensed milk
750 ml Irish whiskey
1 t instant coffee
2 T Hershey's chocolate syrup
1 t vanilla
1 t almond extract (I skipped this entirely)
Combine all ingredients in a blender and set on high speed for 30 seconds.
Bottle in a tightly sealed container and refrigerate. Shake before using.

BAILEY RECIPE tastes just as good as the original and I used cheapest whiskey I could get my hands on :o

TerraNotSoFirma · 05/12/2012 00:48

I've eaten the Christmas stollen.
It was delicious.

EggNogKnockers · 05/12/2012 01:07

I've been on the Baileys tonight also. Orange Truffle flavour.

I may never drink anything but this again!

DeepPurple · 05/12/2012 01:11

Mmmmm baileys. You have to test a bottle to make sure it's good enough for Christmas.
